Future of Culvers Lodge

Planning Application DM2023/00965

Address:  110 London Road Hackbridge Wallington SM6 7HF

Proposal: Change of use from Class C3 (Dwelling) to Class C2 (Childrens Home)

Sutton Council wants to change the use of Culvers Lodge so it can become a children’s home. We initially objected to this application as there was insufficient information.

We were invited to a meeting at the lodge where we were able to ask various question and alleviate any concerns and we updated our response to support the application.

  1. I think this is great idea!
I understand complex disabled children are different, and most of you are scared of different. But they are people. Show some humanity.

I think this project should definitely go ahead, and the local residents opposing this should be ashamed of themselves. I only hope they’re not ever blessed with a child with complex needs themselves.

Please do remember, we are all just one accident away from being disabled ourselves. Do better.
