NDG’s objection letter to reserved matters

It wasn’t long ago we put together this blog about the changes Barratt Homes wanted to put in against the original outline plan.

This planning application – 73625 has yet to be approved when Barratt Homes submitted two reserve matters applications (73672 and 73965), which is basically the detail of 73625.

We find it unacceptable that Sutton Council will allow detailed design matters to be submitted on an application that has not yet been approved, let alone have a planning portal system online that is overwhelming, with residents facing hundreds of documents to read.

To add to this confusion, Sutton Council also sent out planning information letters with the wrong application on it, so altogether a complete mess.

Our main concern is that residents will already think they have commented against the application, not realising they are separate.  We ask for those of you who have already submitted comments against 73625, to please submit the same comments against 73672, as they are still valid.

Deadline is 13 May 2016


To view planning applications and put in the relevant 5 digit number only i.e. 62175 and hit return.  Sometimes it comes back saying nothing found.  Hit return again and it then usually works!

C2009/62175 – original outline plan

C2014/68760 – minor amendments to outline plan

C2016/73625 – amendments to outline plan – latest application out for consultation

C2016/73672 – reserved matters application for 73625

C2016/73965 – reserved matters application for business forest
