Update – November 2017
The planning application was withdrawn by Mr Challen before receiving the outcome of the application. We were not given reasons for this decision.
September 2017
Planning application C2017/77433 for a 6-storey block of flats was submitted by Mr Michael Challen, the owner of Hexagon House. The submission was for:-
- 12 flats
- 4 – two bedroom flats
- 8 – one bedroom flats
- 2 parking spaces
- 70 square metres of A1 retail space on ground floor
We are extremely disappointed that as a group we have not been consulted with and that some of the material they are referencing is from a draft masterplan for Hackbridge back in 2009 that was never a finalised document and also showing images of proposed blocks of flats on the wider site of the land adjacent to the train station, where there is no planning permission or even an application submitted yet.
We will also be asking for the application to go to the planning committee for decision and not delegated to an officer and have OBJECTED to this application.
