As one of the original front runners of neighbourhood planning, we were quite shocked that we had been designated for nearly five years!
After finding out that forums can only be designated for this long without formally re-designating, we updated our original application. The process took much longer than we expected.
- 26 May 2017 – we submitted documentation to Sutton Council to apply for re-designation as a neighbourhood forum and re-designation of our boundary area.
- 26 July to 8 September – Consultation on re-designation.
- 26 September – application ratified at Sutton Council’s Housing, Business & Economy Committee.
- 29 September – formally re-designated, although we are still waiting official notification in writing.
